Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or date of birth typed into a search tool on this site travels to the outside provider that runs that tool. The provider processes the query and returns whatever results it has. On our side, the terms you enter are not logged or stored.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us is kept so that we can write back. That message stays with our team. We do not hand it to anyone outside the organization unless a legal obligation compels it.
Data We Gather Automatically
Technical details about a visit are recorded by our servers each time a page loads:
- The browsing device's IP address
- The browser and its version
- The device type and operating system
- How long each page stayed open and which pages were viewed
- The referring site, when one sent you here
- A timestamp for every page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on your device, and this site uses them to see how visitors move through the pages, which pages draw the most traffic, and where readers stop. Analytics services aggregate that traffic data for us. You can block cookies in your browser settings at any time, though parts of the site may not behave the same way once you do.
What We Do With This Data
The information described above is used to keep the site running and to understand how it is read:
- Sending a search request to the correct partner service
- Keeping pages online and loading quickly
- Seeing which pages help readers and which need work
- Finding and repairing technical problems
- Serving advertising that may relate to your interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, compile, maintain, or sell databases of warrants or personal warrant records. It publishes general guidance about where East Carroll Parish warrant records are kept and how a reader checks them through the Sheriff's Office, the Clerk of Court, the Sixth Judicial District Court, the Lake Providence Mayor's Court, and the 1st Justice Court. Louisiana keeps no single public statewide warrant search, and the clerk remote-access route that the parish Clerk links to is a records channel rather than a warrant list. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing collected about visitors is assembled into consumer reports or files about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
The search boxes on this site are run by outside companies. Whatever you type into one of those tools is handled under the partner's privacy policy rather than this one. Those partners decide for themselves how long data is kept and with whom it is shared, and we have no control over either choice. Read the partner's policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
Pages here link out to sheriff and police pages, court sites, state statutes, legal aid groups, and outside search tools. Following one of those links takes you off this site, and the privacy policy of the site you land on governs the rest of your visit. Read it before you share personal details there.
Some advertising partners track activity across sites to deliver targeted ads. That tracking happens on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold by this site. Some information can reach:
- Search partners that process queries run from this site
- Analytics providers used to measure traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on these pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
Standard security practices are used to protect the information described in this policy. No site connected to the internet is immune from a breach, so we cannot promise that one will never occur. We act to keep the data we hold secure and to limit what is collected in the first place.
Users Under 18
This site is written for adults. Personal information from anyone under 18 is not knowingly collected. If you believe a minor has sent data to us, contact us and we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Your rights over information we hold come from this policy and from any law that applies to us. Records kept by a public office are a separate matter: they are requested from the office that keeps them under the Louisiana Public Records Law, La. R.S. 44:1 et seq., and a custodian can withhold or redact material that another law protects. For data we hold ourselves, you can ask to:
- See a copy of what we have on file about you
- Correct information that is wrong
- Have your data erased
- Stop certain kinds of processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy can change over time. When it does, the revised version appears on this page with a new effective date, and the date below changes with it. Return here if you want to track how your information is handled.
